Two men alike, still as stone. The weather outside, chilling to the bone. “Here are some clothes,” the one man would say. “To refrain your warmth from slipping away!” “Thank you, dear friend,” the other would say. “I had thought these old clothes would be on me till the end!” A laugh echoed through the empty streets. Surprising any who heard. “What was that?! Whatever it was, please don’t let it repeat!” The night went quiet and so did the men. Their bodies transforming into stone statues again.

  1. I'm so sorry that Blogspot wouldn't keep your formatting intact; I love the way you laid this out in verse. I love the "bookending" of the first and last lines that tie the whole piece together. It is also very well-edited, making it easy for your audience to read and understand!
