When It All Happened--Kendall 1/11/2019

It all happened one foggy black night. He was walking on the street talking to his mom on the phone. Then... he saw a light coming at him. The light blinded him. As he was laying on the cold road, his mom spoke again. “Do you need me to come and get you?” He got up and said, “Yes, mom. Please come and get me, Mom?” “Yes, sweetie, where are you?” “Mom, I don't know.” “What happened to you? Why do you sound hurt?” “I got hit! It all happened fast.” I heard thunder, I woke up from my nightmare.

Me and my mom jumped in our car to escape the yellow gorilla running after us. “Huh? Where’d he go?” Suddenly, from out of nowhere, the gorilla smashed through a pile of bricks in a construction site. A brick fell from the sky then stubbed somebody’s toe, and it didn’t look pretty. The gorilla continued to chase us. Police sirens wailed in the distance. Animal control trucks come around the corner and inched closer. Finally the animal control trucks shot nets that landed straight on the gorilla. I get out of the car and ask: Where will they take him?

It's the year 3067; there's nothing left but dusty smoke and painful diseases. Life in the 2000s is all gone. My mom showed me a picture of my great great grandmother. It was a picture of her in a pink dress while standing next to a giraffe while she sang about them. We looked a lot alike. I wish our lives were alike. Funny how they had clean air. Funny how we can't even go outside without a hazmat suit. Funny how they had clean water because we are running out.
