The Light Blinded Him--Gavin 1/11/2019

9:00 am, sky black as can be, lightning flashing as bright as someone turning on a flashlight right in front of your eyes. , thunder crackling very loud. The lightning was so bright when my brother woke he said “turn off the lights,” in a cranky voice. “That is the lightning,” I said sounding awake as can be. My brother got up to go shut the blinds, As he was about to shut them i heard him scream, “I can’t see!” “Did the light blind him,”I thought? “Hope not.”

A pink giraffe named Dusty sang one day. It was a very sad song and he sang it because it was painful. For some reason, he loves pain and yesterday he broke his hand on purpose. Me and my mom jumped in our car to escape the yellow gorilla running after us. “Huh? Where’d he go?” Suddenly, from out of nowhere, the gorilla smashed through a pile of bricks in a construction site. A brick fell from the sky then stubbed somebody’s toe, and it didn’t look pretty. The gorilla continued to chase us. Police sirens wailed in the distance. Animal control trucks come around the corner and inched closer. Finally the animal control trucks shot nets that landed straight on the gorilla. I get out of the car and ask: Where will they take him?

It's the year 3067; there's nothing left but dusty smoke and painful diseases. Life in the 2000s is all gone. My mom showed me a picture of my great great grandmother. It was a picture of her in a pink dress while standing next to a giraffe while she sang about them. We looked a lot alike. I wish our lives were alike. Funny how they had clean air. Funny how we can't even go outside without a hazmat suit. Funny how they had clean water because we are running out.
