How My Story Began--Chelsea 1/11/2019

One evening I walked down stairs and put on my eclipse glasses and rushed outside. My mom reminded me to not take off my glasses. I just whispered, “Whatever.” I was trying to find it, but once I finally found it I wanted a better look, so I took off the glasses…. Now I'm here at the Emergency Room. I hear the doctor say to my mom and me, “The light blinded him..” My heart sinks into my stomach. “It's going to be ok, Alex.” Oh goodness...

100 Word Challenge: 11/16/2018 Joshua, 5K

Me and my mom jumped in our car to escape the yellow gorilla running after us. “Huh? Where’d he go?” Suddenly, from out of nowhere, the gorilla smashed through a pile of bricks in a construction site. A brick fell from the sky then stubbed somebody’s toe, and it didn’t look pretty. The gorilla continued to chase us. Police sirens wailed in the distance. Animal control trucks come around the corner and inched closer. Finally the animal control trucks shot nets that landed straight on the gorilla. I get out of the car and ask: Where will they take him?

It's the year 3067; there's nothing left but dusty smoke and painful diseases. Life in the 2000s is all gone. My mom showed me a picture of my great great grandmother. It was a picture of her in a pink dress while standing next to a giraffe while she sang about them. We looked a lot alike. I wish our lives were alike. Funny how they had clean air. Funny how we can't even go outside without a hazmat suit. Funny how they had clean water because we are running out.
